James Ellenson is a general practice, commercial and criminal attorney, with international and corporate clients.  His experience has ranged from defending local client to those of the more famous.  For example, in 2019, he represented a family whose child was involved in a police officer shooting and in 2013, he represented a Somali pirate who was charged with high sea murder.  As a lawyer for Allen Iverson, James was profiled in the 2010 ESPN documentary No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson.

o   Qualified as lead counsel in death penalty cases – State and Federal.  Has served as lead counsel in over 25 death penalty cases

o   Tried over 250 felony juries to verdict
